You cannot fool God, so don't make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant. If you follow your selfish desires, you will harvest destruction, but if you follow the Spirit, you will harvest eternal life.
Galatians 6:7-8
You cannot fool God! How stupid we are when we try to deceive God Himself! Cane was the first man to overtly attempt to try to get God to believe something that was not true. It did not work. Cane had killed his brother Abel and was lying to God about it! But God knew what had happened and held Cane accountable for the death of his brother.
The lie of Satan for everyone who has ever lived is this: "You can sow to your own selfish desires and reap a harvest of good things!" It won't happen. If you indulge in the things that the Spirit of God opposes in your life, you will gather bad things when the time of harvest comes.
But if you spend your days listening to and walking in the ways of the Spirit of God the Fruit of the Spirit will form on your branches and His love will define your every step!
"Lord Jesus, keep me from being deceived. Help me to know that I will reap what I sow and may I plant only the seeds that come from Your Spirit everyday. And may You, Lord Jesus be praised forever. Amen."
