Then the 24 elders, who were seated on thrones in God's presence, knelt down and worshiped him. They said,
“Lord God All-Powerful,
you are and you were,
and we thank you.
You used your great power
and started ruling.
When the nations got angry,
you became angry too!
Now the time has come
for the dead
to be judged.
It is time for you to reward
your servants the prophets
and all your people
who honor your name,
no matter who they are.
It is time to destroy everyone
who has destroyed
the earth.”
Revelation 11:16-18
It was years ago that I first heard a most amazing claim about the Bible. The statement is this: "I have read the end of the Book and we win!"
God will reward everyone who honors His name and He will destroy everyone who has "destroyed the earth."
Many people think that all the "End Times" talk is just foolishness and that the world will go on forever. There certainly is a "forever" but it does not include this earth as we know it today.
There will come a day when God Almighty will meet out His vengeance on those who oppose and reject Jesus Christ. There will come a day when those who honor Christ will be rewarded!
Don't be confused or deceived by all the untruth in today's world. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ keep your mind clearly focused on the goal of spending eternity with Him. Anything that pulls your mind and heart away from that truth does not come from God!
Imagine the foolishness of a girl who looks forward to her wedding day, the home they will live in, even the joys of being married, but thinks very little or maybe not at all about being with her husband. Eternity is all about being with Jesus. There are of course many blessings we will experience when we are with Him, but no blessing will compare to the blessing of simply being face to face with Jesus, forever!
"Lord Jesus, help me today to ponder the unfathomable joy of gazing into your eyes and simply being overwhelmed by Your presence. I pray dear Jesus that that Day will come soon and Eternity will begin. And may Your will be done in everything I do this day. Thank You Jesus. Amen."
