Glow in the Dark People!

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 21:23-27

When Moses came down off of the mountain after meeting with God the Bible says his face literally glowed. I remember the fascination I had with the first wrist watch that would “glow in the dark.” When I exposed the watch to a bright light it would glow for a while so I could tell the time in the dark. The more expensive watches now have dials that are energized by a radio-active substance that makes the dial glow for years.

Followers of Jesus are like Moses and expensive watches. After you meet with God you will glow. Usually it is not a literal light, but it can be seen just the same. People will look at you and see on your face the joy and peace that comes from knowing God.

Not all watches have the phosphor that is needed to make them glow, but all men have what it takes so they can glow after they come to God through Jesus. After you meet with God and then go back and walk around in the dark everyone can see the glow. Those who are seeking God will be drawn to the light and those who are enemies of God will use the light to target you as His follower.

When the dial of my watch is glowing in the dark I can tell what time it is in total darkness. When my life is glowing with the light of His love men will be warned about the “times” even if they are in total darkness.

Jesus told me to let my light shine before men! My light comes from meeting with God. Meet with God and let Him recharge your light today!
