From heaven God shows how angry he is with all the wicked and evil things that sinful people do to crush the truth. They know everything that can be known about God, because God has shown it all to them. God's eternal power and character cannot be seen. But from the beginning of creation, God has shown what these are like by all he has made. That's why those people don't have any excuse. They know about God, but they don't honor him or even thank him. Their thoughts are useless, and their stupid minds are in the dark. They claim to be wise, but they are fools.
Romans 1:18-22
If you don't believe in God then how do you account for everything you see in the natural world? You may have all kinds of "intellectual" arguments that sound very impressive, but if you didn't set up the "laws of nature" who did? If there is not a "law maker" for the laws of nature then why is not gravity a random experience. Sometimes you would fall off of the cliff and other times you would simply float in air.
Children frequently, and perhaps I should say always come to believe at some point that they are smarter and wiser than their parents. But even rebellious children are never so stupid as to convince themselves that their parents don't exist and that they were created from nothing!
I frankly am convinced that there is truly no such thing as an atheist. People who say they don't believe in God are usually very angry at those who do. They fight against the very Being that they say doesn't exist. A real atheist would be someone who has never looked at a sunset, smelled a flower, seen a rose in bloom or felt the warm breeze of late Spring. The true non-believer in the existence of God would have never looked up at the stars and seen the Majesty of the night sky!
They say that they don't believe in God when really they are saying that they don't want to honor God or thank Him for what He has done. It would be just as foolish to say "I don't believe in sunsets" or "I don't believe in roses."
"Lord Jesus, when I look at the world around me I see the Glory of Your Creation. Open my eyes to see even more of You in everything my eyes touch today! And may Your Glory be seen by all men! Amen."
