God Cannot Be Mocked!

And Hezekiah prayed this prayer before the lord: “O  lord, God of Israel, you are enthroned between the mighty cherubim! You alone are God of all the kingdoms of the earth. You alone created the heavens and the earth.Bend down, O  lord, and listen! Open your eyes, O  lord, and see! Listen to Sennacherib’s words of defiance against the living God.2 Kings 19:15-16 NLT
The king of Assyria had vowed to destroy Jerusalem and gathered his army to make it happen!  But God defended Himself by sending an angel who destroyed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night.  Then when the king returned to Nineveh, he was killed by two of his own sons.

It is a foolish thing to set yourself against God, and declare that your ways are better than His ways!  No one has ever succeeded in defying the Creator of Heaven and Earth.  The laws that God has set up in the cosmos will not be changed by the will of man, even if that will is a majority of all men who live on earth!

When a man, even in his heart tries to contradict the will of God, he will suffer.  And when a nation, even by the decree of it's highest court proclaims that God's way is not our way, and that our way is better than His, you can expect a response from God Himself!

What will God's response be?  Only God knows!  But you can be sure that God cannot be mocked!  It would be like a man, or a hundred men deciding that a train should be stopped and so they step on to the tracks and stand firm until the train arrives at a hundred miles an hour.

If you are on the tracks, or even tempted to get in the way of God, be wise and repent.  The only thing that can stop the vengeance of God is a Revival in the land!  Falling on your knees is the only vote that can make a difference!

"Lord Jesus, have mercy on those who have turned their hearts away from You.  Light a fire of Revival in my heart that will spread to everyone around me and bring healing and safety to our land!  May You, Lord Jesus be praised forever.  Amen."
