Spiritual Stockholm Syndrome

For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value.  It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.  God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.  Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.  You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.  For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

1 Peter 1:18-23 (New Living Translation)

According to Wikipedia the Stockholm Syndrome is "a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors."

All men are held hostage by the father of lies. Satan has captured through the power of sin everyone who has yet to be set free by the Blood of Jesus. The Devil brings only death and destruction to all men, but many have positive feelings toward this enemy of all humanity!

If you are one that is still held hostage in this world, then wake up and see that Satan has no good plans for your life. He only has plans for your death and it will be an eternal death!

The Good News is that Jesus stands at the door of your heart and by His sacrifice on the Cross has unlocked that door so that you can open it and let Him in! And when you do, you will be free for the rest of your life, which will be forever!

"Lord Jesus, knock again on the door of my heart and give me the courage to open that door and be set free by Your Eternal Sacrifice! And may You be praised forever. Amen."
