Jesus Makes Everything New!

We are ruled by Christ’s love for us. We are certain that if one person died for everyone else, then all of us have died.   And Christ did die for all of us. He died so we would no longer live for ourselves, but for the one who died and was raised to life for us. We are careful not to judge people by what they seem to be, though we once judged Christ in that way. Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new. God has done it all! He sent Christ to make peace between himself and us, and he has given us the work of making peace between himself and others.

2 Corinthians 5:14-18
 

Today is the first day of 2016! Yesterday may have been a day of looking back at the year that was closing, but today is a day of looking forward to the future.

Someone has wisely said that "Today is the first day of the rest of your life!" The enemy of righteousness wants everyone to sit in despair as they look back at all their failures and sins. If you do that you will surely be paralyzed by the past and unable to move forward toward the future.

But Jesus came so that the past can be forgotten as we live in the truth that "everything is new!"

So on this first day of the "New" Year let Jesus make you a "New" man so that you can live your "New" Life through Him.

"Lord Jesus, everything is New because of You! And Jesus that includes my Life! Thank You for making me a New Man by Your sacrifice on the Cross. May You be praised forever! Amen."
