No Money in Heaven!

Listen to this blog.

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

I Timothy 6:9-10

I have known a few "very rich" people in my life. As one of them aptly put it, "Money is not a blessing from God, it is rather an awesome responsibility."

Very rich people have few, if any true friends. Frankly, the only way they can find out if their friends are sincere is to lose all their money and see who is left.

If you love money, you are tempted to sacrifice everything you know to be moral and right to acquire more of it. Isn't it interesting that a billionaire usually is not satisfied with that amount of money and wants more?

Consider this: If you are a child of God and you needed ten billion dollars could God give it to you today? The answer is "Of course He could!" So why would you spend your life seeking money? When you seek money you are proclaiming that you don't believe that God is your provider.

When you seek God instead of money, whatever and however God sees that your needs should be met will be done according to His will and power!

Let all your desire be toward knowing Jesus and none of your desire be toward getting rich. The truth is: You can't take even one dollar to Heaven!
