God is wonderful and glorious. I pray that his Spirit will make you become strong followers and that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. Stand firm and be deeply rooted in his love. I pray that you and all of God's people will understand what is called wide or long or high or deep. I want you to know all about Christ's love, although it is too wonderful to be measured. Then your lives will be filled with all that God is. I pray that Christ Jesus and the church will forever bring praise to God. His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine. Amen.
Ephesians 3: 16 - 21
God wants His children to know “all about” Christ’s love, even though it is too wonderful to be measured! How can you know everything there is to know about something that you can’t even measure? It is indeed a mystery.
I knew a man once who had memorized the entire New Testament. He could recite every verse in the Bible that told the story of Jesus! Does that mean that he knew Jesus and all about the Love that the Savior has for us? It does not! You can know all the facts of a biography without knowing the person and certainly without knowing the love that comes from the heart of that man or woman.
You see, the Love of Christ is not measured. Christ’s love is like an ocean and when you come to Him in faith you are transformed to be able to live and breathe while fully submerged in that love!
It is like the watery world of an unborn baby who gets everything he or she needs from the mother who carries the child. The Love of Jesus gives you everything you need! What could you possibly find necessary that His Hand has not provided?
Perhaps it might be said that the Love of Christ is the Womb of Heaven as it sustains us and prepares us for the Day when we will come forth to live with Jesus forever!
“Lord Jesus, I do want to know all about You, but even more than that Lord, I need to feel Your love for me and be touched by You during every moment of time I am still alive on this earth! Jesus I cannot live without Your Love. May Your Holy Name be praised now and forever. Amen.”
