Free Stuff Box

Listen to this blog.

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Everyone who hears this should say, “Come!” If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It’s free! Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book. If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book. The one who has spoken these things says, “I am coming soon!” So, Lord Jesus, please come soon! I pray that the Lord Jesus will be kind to all of you.

Revelation 22:17-21

I almost never look in the "free stuff" box at a yard sale. I figure if they are giving it away it can't be worth anything. But even as beauty is in the eye of the beholder one man may consider a thing to be worth nothing and another man see it as a treasure of incomparable value. So it is a good idea to look in the "free stuff" box at a yard sale. That may just be where you will find a great prize.

Did you know that God has a "free stuff" box and offers you the opportunity to take something from it? Most people look at the sign on God's box and turn away thinking there could be nothing of real value in it. But in God's "free stuff" box is the most valuable thing in all eternity. Salvation is free to you, but Jesus paid for it with His life!

The greatest lie of Satan is this: "Salvation for free is too good to be true. You must earn it!" In response to that lie all the "Salvation by works" theologies have been carefully crafted. The heresy of earning your own salvation is simple. If you can earn your own salvation then Jesus did not need to pay for it and His sacrifice becomes meaningless. Jesus did not just "lay His life on the line," Jesus stretched out on the road and was run over by the bus!

By the way, if you have never taken Salvation out of God's "free stuff" box, here is the deal. It is free, but there is a "catch."  When you receive the Gift from God your whole life will become obsessed with Jesus. You will fall madly in love with Him and be able to think of only Him for the rest of your life!  But you can be sure, the trip with Jesus is Glorious!
