Patient or Slow?

Listen to this blog.

The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is. In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost.
2 Peter 3:9

What is the difference between being patient and being slow? A man who is patient usually is slow, but a man who is slow is not always patient. Laziness and unconcern are sometimes part of being slow, but a diligent and focused man can still be patient.

Why has God waited so long to bring this world to a conclusion? Why did God not, when He flooded the entire world, wipe out everybody including Noah and his family?

God is patient because He loves you so much that He wants you to turn from your sin and not be lost forever.

If you think that God doesn't care about you and doesn't know what is going on in your life, then go find a pair of tweezers and pull out one hair from your head! You have just triggered a recount by God!

The patience of Job is legendary, but the patience of God dwarfs the patience of Job. When God is on your case, and He is, the Holy Spirit will hound you at every turn making opportunity after opportunity for you to come Home and be His child.

Remember, the prodigal son story can happen again today in your life! And that is what God desires and that is what He is patiently waiting for!
