Jesus is the Treasure!

Listen to this blog.

But it is just as the Scriptures say, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!”

God’s Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. You are the only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God’s Spirit is the only one who knows what is in God’s mind.

But God has given us his Spirit. That’s why we don’t think the same way that the people of this world think. That’s also why we can recognize the blessings that God has given us.

1 Corinthians 2:9-12

I love to find a bargain at a yard sale. But best of all is to find a real treasure. Frankly, I do feel a little guilty when I pay a very small price for an item that is worth much more than the asking price. In all my yard sale adventures I think the best deal I ever got was a vacuum cleaner for $25.00 that was probably worth over a hundred. But you've heard of people who paid five or ten dollars for something that was worth thousands!

Christians often have no idea how valuable it is to be in relationship with Jesus Christ and have our sins washed away by His Blood!  If you owned a diamond that was worth ten millions dollars how would you care for it?  Would you just leave it laying around or would you guard it with your life?

Remember, a man sitting in solitary confinement in a prison for many years who knows Jesus Christ is richer than a king who does not know the Lord.  If you know Jesus, then you have access to the throne of God Himself and can have dialogue with the Creator of everything that is.

When you count your blessings, start the list with Jesus Christ.  You can also end the list of blessings with Jesus, because without Jesus there would be no other blessings at all!
So when you ask God to bless you, He gives you Jesus!
