Listen to this blog.
But we know that God accepts only those who have faith in Jesus Christ. No one can please God by simply obeying the Law. So we put our faith in Christ Jesus, and God accepted us because of our faith.
When we Jews started looking for a way to please God, we discovered that we are sinners too. Does this mean that Christ is the one who makes us sinners? No, it doesn’t!
But if I tear down something and then build it again, I prove that I was wrong at first.
Galatians 2:16-18
Controversy is easier to deal with when there is a country or even an idea that is suitable for a declaration of war. When a war is declared, then we can in good conscience throw everything we have at the enemy.
The Keystone Pipeline, a proposed oil pipeline from Canada to Texas is good example of an issue not worthy of a declaration of war. Those who favor it stand on the ground of energy independence and those who oppose it believe it will be a danger to the environment. It is one of those "you can't kick the can down the road" issues because Asia stands ready to buy the oil if we choose not to build it.
When the problem is with your own country, a good friend, someone you love, or even with yourself the resolution comes with compromise. The issue at hand is weighed against the value of those who oppose your position. When you go to war the goal is to wipe out the opposition and remove it as a player on the stage. When you choose not to go to war the resolution will include a way to maintain the relationship with respect.
Christians declare war on sin, not on sinners! Sinners are the prisoners of war who were captured by Satan and stand desperately in need of being liberated from the Enemy!
When you bring out your weapons of war, including the Sword of the Spirit be sure to wield them against the Enemy and not prisoners of war!
